Why should I rent a FLORIDA ESCAPES rental home?
In a word---Service!  Our homes have been carefully selected for guest satisfaction and are personally managed by our dedicated staff.  In addition, each home reflects our commitment to our homeowners to maintain their homes to the best quality possible during their absence.

Whether this is your first time renting a vacation home or you are a frequent renter, you will find our service to be exceptional.  Our toll-free number (866) 247-2855 is always available to you and there is someone on call 24 hours a day to answer your concerns and any emergencies, if one should arise.

What Is Provided In The Home.....What Do I Need To Bring?
Although it is difficult to list every item in each home, every effort has been made to try to your stay as pleasant as possible and make your rental home feel welcoming and inviting.   Each home is completely furnished and equipped with linens, towels, all kitchen utensils (including plates, cups, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, bakeware).  There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender.  A full capacity washer and dryer along with an iron and ironing board have also been provided and at least one hair dryer.  There is at least one TV with basic cable (some homes have more extensive cable packages and are dependent on each homeowner).  There is generally a VCR, a DVD and a music system, although this is solely dependent on the homeowner.

Although each home is self-catering, each home is stocked with a starter supply of toilet paper and complimentary soaps. You suggest you may want to pack a small starter supply while you get familiar with the area and where the supermarkets are located.

Where Do I Check In?
One of our most invaluable services is the hassle free factor of not having to find an office to pick up keys. Once we have received your completed registration packet and your final balance (if applicable) and within 30 days prior to you arriving in Florida, we will forward to you a welcome email which will have the exact address to your property and directions.  Within 7 days of your arrival, you will receive a final email which will have the code generated for your arrival as well as entry instructions for the home reserved for your vacation. From this information you will have all the details you require to go straight to the home and start your vacation.

Is Maid Service Included?
All of our homes are "self-catering".  This means the home will be cleaned upon your arrival and cleaned again upon your departure.  For your convenience, each home is equipped with a full capacity washer and dryer, dishwasher, vacuum, broom, mop, etc.  We will gladly provide daily or weekly maid service for an additional fee.  This service can be arranged directly with someone on our staff at check in.

What is Florida Escapes' security deposit/damage waiver policy?

A “damage waiver” fee is charged in lieu of a damage deposit for reservations made after 1/1/09. This non-refundable fee will cover accidental damage up to $1,000.00. Please be advised that accidental damage over the coverage amount, missing inventory, theft, or any damage deemed intentional or by gross negligence will not be covered by the damage waiver. The damage waiver fee is included in your reservation total due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Are The Pools Heated?
Not as standard.  However, all of our rental home pools have the heating option available and is recommended from October to April.  Pool heating is generally set between 84-86 degrees; Spa heating is generally set between 94-96 degrees.  Although pool and spa heaters are designed to maintain the appropriate water temperature, severe cold winter temperatures may result in lower water temperatures.  Pool heating is currently charged at $25.00 per day. Spa heating is available all year long at $15.00 per day.  All prices are plus tax. Heating requires a 4 day minimum.  Pool heat cannot be switched on until full payment has been made.  It can be ordered prior to your arrival or upon your arrival.  Please note, it will take approximately 24 operating hours to heat up the pool (dependent on the ambient temperature) to the desired temperature from the moment it is switched on.

How are the kitchens equipped?
Each kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances and has an adequate supply of dishes and cutlery to satisfy the needs of the number of guests that are assigned to the rental.  Vacation rentals are not intended or supplied for the needs of major meals.  Please don't expect items like baking dishes or large roasting pans. As we say: "just remember that Mom is on vacation, too!"

Do Homes Have BBQs?
Currently no.  However, if you would like to rent one, this can be arranged by contacting us prior to your arrival.  The grill, complete with utensils and propane, is available for a weekly rental fee of $50.00.  Please note: the amount of propane cannot be guaranteed, however, it can be easily replenished if necessary at various convenience centers.

What is Florida Escapes Hurricane Policy?

All our properties, and the area as a whole, are built to the highest level of building codes. Even our oldest homes are less than 10 years old. The Disney area is located directly in the middle of the state which further protected us. In recent years our area saw very minimal damage from any hurricane, no evacuations, and loss of power for only a few hours.

If a hurricane warning is in effect and you choose to postpone your vacation, we will allow you to use the balance you’ve paid as a credit towards a future stay with us, to be used within 1 year of your original vacation dates. However, if you then choose to stay in a less expensive property or for a shorter time period, we are not able to refund any unused portion of the balance.

If hurricane conditions damage your vacation home to any more than a minimal degree of damage within 1 month prior to your vacation or during your vacation dates we will refund 100% of your rental balance paid whether or not you have postponed your vacation dates in advance. If your arriving flight is cancelled due to hurricane warnings, we will refund 100% of your rental balance paid.

If you are forced to evacuate during your stay, or your vacation home loses power for any longer than 2 hours, and you must depart early we will refund 100% of any unused portion of your stay, or we would be happy to move you to another comparable vacation home if you wish to stay.
